Golis Machine Inc. History:
1972 – After working 19 years for the Bendix Corporation as a draftsman and machinist, George Golis utilized the skills he learned to start his own company. He started his own machine shop in the basement of his home with a Bridgeport and hand lathe, and also rented commercial space for two Swiss automatic screw machines. With these machines his work was precise, business was consistent and long lasting relationships were built.
1978 – George Golis moved his business into a larger building as customer contracts increased.
1988 – Golis Machine became incorporated in February. Daughter Rosemary Golis Franssen became President, George the Vice-President, wife MayBelle Golis the Secretary and son-in-law Will Franssen the Treasurer.
1998 – New Building – Over 20 years of loyal customers and the steady increase of many new customers led to our decision of building a brand new modern climate controlled facility in Montrose.
2002 – An addition was built creating a 12,600 square foot building.
2006 – Rosemary and Will became sole owners of Golis Machine Inc.
2008 – Golis Machine Inc earned the ISO 9001:2008 certification.
2012 – ITAR registered and Compliant.
2020 – ISO 9001:2015 Certified
2022 – Achieved AS9100 Certification
